Saina Nehwal Wins Badminton Women’s Singles Bronze – IND v CHN | London 2012 Olympics — 53 Comments

  1. Felt sorry for Saina even more than Wang, since really no player would want a medal without a proper match that he/she could not say to have earned.

  2. I feel sorry for Wang Xin for the injury. I too am a badminton player who had torn ACL while playing recreational football. I know the difficulty of the injury and it is brave of her to continue to play & fight for the medal.

Second, it is uneventful to talk about saina deserving a Medal or not when there are 2 more sets left to play.

  3. Felt really sad for Wang…..she had such bad injury then also she played really well….ligament injury is worst than even a fracture or back pain…….HATS OFF!!!!!! To wang…….She played beautifully even with injury in her leg which is the most important part in badminton for flexibility……Well played Saina…

  4. Though I am a fan of Saina n respect her, I just got to say… At that point of time, I guess no one other Wang deserved that medal… A fighter with determination! Sadly luck wasn’t on her side…

  5. saina Fought very hard…after watching just I can say….Never lose hope..keep fighting…we proud of you Saina…..China Played well….she played smartly.

  6. I think Wang got that injury due to very strong rallies where she was being tired by saina physically a lot …because in long rallies Wang was struggling to keep on game and finally her knee was gone…but she fought a lot and saina also made a great comeback by winning long and physical rallies

  7. We always support Saina Nehwal, she control, focus and also has good physical fitness. That combination makes the game win. Proud Indian 🤟 ✌️🤘& love you Saina💗💞💞…

  8. Wang was very brave as she was injured during the first set only, but she taped her knee and still played to win the first set. But unfortunately, she couldn’t go further. Saina was also feeling really bad for Wang as she was playing amazingly and was a great competitor. I hope she gets well soon and makes a good comeback in the next tournament.
    With love, from India.

  9. Feel bad for Wang, She was dominating the match until that injury…anything could have happened, lot of match left at that point… even Saina would not have liked it how she won it… at the end of the day that’s the game for you…you have to be strong physically, mentally and even in luck…

  10. Few people know this but saina was suffering from high fever during this match. She took some pills and came out to fight for her chances. That’s why she wasn’t moving fast as she used to.

  11. @MC Hammer Your frustration is beyond AMAZING! Keep crying …but it still won’t change anything. Get well soon!😂😂

  12. @REESHU CHAUDHARY xD Actually I’m having my daily laughter dose…. xD xD These indian fans are so emotionally brittle in spite of Sauna winning with her luck ! lol

  13. @MC Hammer why don’t you accept the truth that actually you are jobless and have nothing to do? That’s why repeating your words like a broken record. It won’t make you anything but a parrot. Keep going! But improve your vocab first. You have to work hard though because your surely aren’t lucky nor are you sharp.🤭🤭 Poor guy wasting away his life!

  14. I feel sad for Wang. Also that’s inhumane to mock Wang. But Saina on ethical grounds showed true sportswomanship towards Wang

  15. @Dylan Thokchom are you mocking his name? you should not. China is not our enemy China never was enemy of India. We Indians love China.

  16. 33:28 SO AWESOME! Saina Nehwal..she is a great sportsperson and she proved it there💖

  17. I want to represent my country in Olympics too, but sadly our government doesn’t pay attention much to us and also, badminton here is kinda underrated here in Philippines:(

  18. @Loving All I meant that when the Chinese opponent got injured..she didn’t care about anything else and went straight to her opponent..cared for her and hence proved that she’s a great sportsperson.

  19. That’s awful. First India too didn’t have much recognition. Saina paved a way that India can also excel in badminton. You too shall get. It starts from you. Your will power is your weapon. Not the racquet

  20. The greatest real sportsperson is Wang xin 33.32🙏🏻🇨🇳🇮🇳😔😔

  21. @Kalesh K sekhar Saina could have won 2nd set. just shut your mouth. indian hoke doosre indian ka mazaak banati ho tum sharam nahi aata kya?

  23. Please don’t give up, especially if you’re still young, maybe you can research ways to enter the national team?

  24. congratulations saina. youve prove it although you dont have a beautiful footwork youve overcome it w your determination n aggressiveness

  25. Fun fact: 2012 London Olympics Badminton matches were highest viewed Olympics sports event in the history even surpassing typical popular sports swimming,Athletics and Gymnastics

  26. My dream is to become an international badminton player 🏸 and make india proud , just like Saina Nehwal . I’m here for inspiration
