“Angry Birds Badminton” on Sundays PM @ NORTH (Woodlands-Sembawang-Yishun)
We are an average group of 12~16 casual badminton players (aged 30+ to 60+ averaging 50yrs) with skills ranging from Mid/High Beginners to Mid Intermediate. Most of us play Mens or Mixed Doubles using 21pts scoring system.
We use RSL Supreme shuttlecocks and at times new ones which we occasionally test. We tested several brands of shuttlecocks and found that we liked the current type for its consistency, durability & reasonable cost.
We play on Sundays 3-5/4-6pm (Covid19 Resilience phase with up to 5 players per court) up to 2-3 courts at Dual Use Scheme (DUS) Indoor School Hall facilities (sometimes community or private clubs) around Singapore but focusing mainly within the north regions like Yishun, Sembawang & Woodlands, sometimes as far north-west as Bt Panjang. School Halls we go to include (but not limited to) Woodlands Ring Pri Sch, Spectra Sec Sch, Canberra Sec Sch, Northland Sec Sch, Peiying Pri Sch.

Majority of our players come from the north region, with some coming from as far east as Pasir Ris and as far west as Jurong West. Our group came together with the intention of enjoying Fun & Fitness. Some of us have been together for the past 10-20yrs or more. Over the years our group have grown but have also shrunk. We are constantly looking for new & challenging players (especially ladies) to join us, and also to help improve our overall playing skill.

We collect a low rate of $8 per session (for Guest player), or $22 per month (for Members). Our current quota for members is already full. A weekly schedule of places we booked for weekend games will constantly be published on this thread (remember to click the last page of this thread for the latest update).
We generally keep small quantities of accessories like Racket overgrips ($5 for 3). Do ask Simon our organizer whenever you need to change your grips at our sessions.
