WTF is wrong with these professional players

Professional players are better than us mere mortals. That not debatable. However, they are still human and make mistakes/have tendencies that make even us go…”what were they thinking?”

I’ll start off with my absolute favorite: Wakana Nagahara’s serve. I don’t understand why she serves like that. It’s barely a high serve that just invites a smash, which puts her partner Matsumoto at a disadvantage. I just don’t understand why she would give up the advantage like that.
