Storey said: “It was a real privilege to host so many distinguished guests from the brilliant world of badminton between two enthralling sessions on Friday of this year’s Yonex All England Open.

“It was our honour to welcome former players – including some former All England title winners – both the tournament’s sponsors and Badminton England partners as well as representatives from so many of our key stakeholders to the Quartz Restaurant at the Utilita Arena to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the most prestigious badminton tournament.

“My sincere thanks to all who attended and, of course, to our President Derek Batchelor and our Interim Chair Peter Emptage who both spoke so beautifully about what the All England continues to mean to them.”
