Youngsters were given a day to remember during the YONEX All England as the annual Racket Pack Festival finals took place.
Alex Lane, one of Badminton England’s Regional Managers, said: “On Tuesday 12 March, we worked in partnership with Sport Birmingham to bring 10 local schools to take part in our yearly YAE Racket Pack Festival finals.
“Preliminary rounds were run by local SGO’s, and 10 lucky schools were invited to attend the YONEX All England Championship in the morning and watch the best badminton players in the world, before heading over to Nechells Wellbeing Centre in the afternoon to pick up a racket for themselves.
“It was a great event and initiative that with the preliminary round has hopefully inspired hundreds of new kids and numerous schools to pick up a racket and give badminton a go.”
