I may have just found the new hidden gem of revolutionary shuttlecocks
Boring history:
I was looking into a company called “apacs” because my friend has one of their rackets and it legitimately felt better than any li ning or Victor (not quite Yonex) rackets. I found out that this company makes shuttlecocks. Now, most smaller companies including Kawasaki, babolat, etc are making a new “hybrid” shuttle from this OEM called “DMantis sports goods co” they have released this 3in1 structure that is designed to be more durable, cost efficient, while maintaining that feather shuttlecock feel. This has sadly failed in a way, seeing as they break quickly and have a crap flight pattern. On the other side of the business with the more popular companies are creating a composite feather shuttlecock made of foam feathers. Victor tried to make one of these but it breaks easily and costs a ton. Mizuno has created the perfect shuttlecock called the “tech feather” which doesn’t break easily, feels almost better than feathers, but is expensive. tbh I’m the biggest fan of these.
To give y’all some background, me and my friends have been practicing not mis-hitting the shuttle at all so we often don’t break too many shuttles, keep this in mind.
The actual point:
I saw that apacs had released their new “hybrid” shuttlecock but it had the same foam feathers that the tech feathers had. Jesus Christ! 15 euros for a tube of these! As soon as I saw the price I ordered to test em out. THEY FEEL LIKE HEAVEN ITS SO LOUD, and without mis-hitting they last 45 minutes (with hard smashes.) knowing that the 45 minutes, I spent only 1 euro on a shuttle that feels like heaven with a fine flight path.
idk why no one’s talking about this shuttle. Btw the shuttle I’m referencing to from apacs is the “apacs 900 hybrid”
Please let me know what you think about these.
