Badminton England Coaching Qualifications receive BWF Recognition

As part of our commitment to the quality assurance of our Coaching Qualifications, Badminton England is pleased to announce that our coaching qualifications have been recognised by the Badminton World Federation Coach Education Equivalency process after an extensive review process.

This means that coaches holding the Badminton England Certificate for Coaches in Badminton at Level 2 will now be recognised as equivalent to BWF Coach Education Level 1 and Badminton England Level 3 Certificate for Head Coaches in Badminton as equivalent to BWF Coach Education Level 2.

The practical implications are that coaches who hold these qualifications:

· Can use BWF Coach Education Level 1 and/or Level 2 as international standards for employment or further coach education abroad

· Will be eligible for related BWF Coach Education opportunities, such as progressing to BWF Level 2 (after attaining a Badminton England Level 2) or BWF Level 3 (after attaining a Badminton England Level 3), or achieving certification as a BWF Disability Coach (Level 1)
