
The 2025 BWF World Junior Championships for the Suhandinata Cup is taking place from October 6, 2025 to October 11, 2025 in Guwahati, Assam, India, at the National Centre of Excellence.
At the end of the group stage, the USA sits undefeated at the top of Group B after a series of thrilling wins against Vietnam (45-42, 45-30), Norway (45-18, 45-21), Egypt (45-27, 45-28), and France (45-43, 45-43). The U.S. athletes have truly been something special to watch, especially after their comeback performances against Vietnam and France, securing the wins in the last matches.
The 2025 BWF World Junior Championships for the Suhandinata Cup is played in the newly introduced team relay format of 3 x 45 points. Details of the new scoring system can be found here.
As the top finisher of Group B, USA faced Japan in the Quarterfinals on October 9, 2025. The team put up a good fight and won the first set by 45-44, but fell short in the second (32-45) and third set (31-45). USA vs Japan can be rewatched here.
On October 10, 2025, USA will face Malaysia at 9:30 am local time for the 5-8 positions. Livestream will be available on Badminton India’s YouTube Channel.
The U.S. is represented in the team event by Shriyans Bhagavatula, Audrey Chang, Youshi Chen, Micah Cruz, Arden Lee, Annie Meng, Garret Tan, Alice Wang, Jasmine Yeung, and Tian Qi Zhang.
They are supported by Head Coach Hendry Winarto, Assistant Coach Sai Praneeth B, and Team Manager Esther Lin.
