Why no Malay pro women players?

Hi,
I noticed that there aren’t any women Pro players from Malaysia who’re from the majority Malay origin. Even most of the Men players are from the ethnic Chinese. So my question is why there are not any female Malay players, even though Badminton is very popular in Malaysia, is it due to religious reasons I wonder. Well there’s nothing wrong it but just wondered why that is. You can see there are so many Malay women in the crowds in major tournament halls but not in the courts, so obviously they love their badminton but what’s stopping them to become professional players?

I’m aware that in Malaysia you have Malays as the majority population, followed by ethnic Chinese and then Indian populations.
