First time I’ve ever seen Lee retire from a match, he has always seemed like the Federer of badminton – invincible to injury and consistent in form. Hope he has a good rest till the Olympics.
so sad LCW had to finish the match this way, both LCW and LD are great players!
I can’t wait to see the revenge match for olympic ^^
10:01 they raised LCW’s point insted of LD’s
there the best of rivals and the best of friends
What i loved most is the sportmanship between the 2, after the game ð
i love the interpreter ð fluent in chinese who has an english accent whenever u speak english
Nice i want to play like them :)!
he deserve the best ð
Both can play well but I think we have to be fair that lee chong wei faces a greater pressure than lin dan largely because malaysia hardly has any well-known badminton players and he feels that it is his responsibility to make his home country proud. Such a humble and strong-willed player should be given credit. ð
I love both but Lee Chong Wei is my favorite

2013 lcw retired again dam
Lin and Lee, two of the greatest of all time, thank you, Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei, both of you just make me wants to play badminton harder and harder.
Because lee chong wei injury
Lin Dan bears more pressure since he lost his Greek Olympic at first round and the time China was still being look down by many countries. And Lin Dan not only bear with it and he won so many titles. ð Having pressure is one thing overcome the pressure is amazing thing. Lin Dan did it ð Idol which lcw can never get close. Bcuz lcw got zero world championship title. I have also seen many times he retired from matches not just this once.
Yes, both are great players, but to be fair, i believe lin dan faced great pressure too. He had to live up to the high expectations of his country being the top player. He’s also the target of many players. I think it’s really not easy for him to maintain his level for so long. We will never know who had it worse but we can appreciate the perseverance and fighting spirit of both greats.
@Wee Jie Yes.. However, recently I got a new understanding of Lin Dan thru his new program so far 4th episodes. Watching his comment to other players. I realized Lin Dan isn’t only bear the pressure. He nailed it I would say.. He did everything strategically and won the competitions. Fulfilled all requirements and solved the challenges. Bcuz I saw so much flaws when the players in the program compete especially at the same level or in the final, things are completely different. So it’s amazing to see Lin Dan not only won all big competitions but he had maintained it for such a long time.
The opening announcer makes me feel like I am watching some wrestling or MMA
