Shindu is very aggressive in important championship. But, she always gets silver medal at the Olimpic, silver medal Asian Games, Twice the silver world championship, and silver at BWF world tour final (1 gold 2018)

Even loosing against Marin, Sindhu’s behaviour towards her OMG so lovely. Good sportsmanship. Sindhu carried racquet of Marin out of the court. What a lovely moment.
A couple of years ago, nobody would have thought that a spanish women’s singles player would become 2x world champion & olympic champion. Fernando Rivas really did an amazing job discovering Carolina and developing her into a top player.
Amazing thing is that……No Chinese athlete on podium๐…this indicates that these three women fought hard to overcome mighty Chinese …..Very proud of these three ladies ….

@tan zhe heng when it comes to world stage Sindhu is too good for most players. Her only rival in olympics, world championships are Caroline Marin, Yamaguchi and Okuhara. Do not go by her performance in super series. She has shown it many times that in bigger events she somehow always reaches the final
bikash das all these Indians above….. It was a closed match anyhow during quarter final with tai. Only bash me when after something happen. My opinion doesnโt change, sindhu is not as good as Tai. Still to me her weakness is her footstep. I admit the fact she improved a lot this year, but if Marin and tai played at their top form, she stand 0 chance in Olympic
@tan zhe heng all players plays at their top form, its an excuse when u use words like “if”..Sindhu had betaen Tai everytime in world event, be it in olympics or in world championships. So what i wrote is based on what actually happened and not based on “if”..”If” Sindhu plays in her top form then she can defeat all players in the world. Its not like Tai beats Sindhu everytime, and with Marin the head to head record is still even. So “if” she is not as good as Marin or Tai she “would” have lost all matches against them. But overall record says something else. No matter how much you want to put down SIndhu, but here is the fact, Sundhu has more medal in world events,Tai has NONE. Also, ZERO chance in Olympics does not fetch you a silver medal.

@Arpit Pradhan can we say that Sindhu is still on the line for gold medal contender?? Sindhu is still my favorite, but she is not too dominant. Even, Tai Tzu the most women player who hold the most title recently is not dominant too.. I think Tai Tzu, Sindhu, Marin, Akane, Nozomi, Ratchanok, Yufei have similar change to reach any olympic medal..
And nobody knows that probably WS in 2nd layer such as Michelle Li, Beiwen, Mia Blichfeldt, Se Young can become the dark horse and take the bronze??
This WS us quite different when LinDan and LCW era, where just both of them finished in most of final of the tournmnt..

You compared two players from different era, and in different badminton disciplines. Park Joo Bong was a men’s doubles player whereas Lin Dan is a men’s singles player.

This match was very special for me and also kind of intimidating because theese are the countries which I belong from literally (I am half indian and spanish) I did not choose sides they both perfomed amazingly !

Taufik’s point was simple. It was harder winning the world championships during Park joo bong’s era. Then it was played 3 years once. Regardless singles or doubles, the point was the frequency of the world championship being held. Lin Dan is arguably the greatest player of ‘his’ era.
