BADMINTON TECHNIQUE #57 – BACKHAND CLEAR , BASIC TUTORAL — 41 Comments

  1. Thanks for this. It’s one of my weakest shots, mainly because I can’t reach the base. Generally, my b/h clears only reach front/mid-court allowing my opponents to just stand at the net and gain an easy point. Have tried going cross court but really I need to practice what you’ve demonstrated.

  2. We hope this will help you! Otherwise, let us know and we will do our best to help you!

  3. Is there any drill that we can do indoors that will improve the “wave ” motion used for Backhand clear?

  4. @Shuttle Life – Thank you for the offer. Playing tonight and tomorrow, so will revert if there’s no improvement.

  5. I am a newbie. My question is, a person with knee injury can play around the head shot as advised in this video. I mean, during his/her footwork his left knee would have to bear a lot of bodyweight or otherwise? Your guidance in this regard will be highly appriciated

  6. We are very glad to hear, that our videos helped you to get better. You should always put some weight on your knee 3 times a week. Even though if it’s only a couple of jumps – it’s better than nothing. Otherwise injuries occur due to the lack of exercise

  7. Thanks a lot for your detailed answer. I give up after having a knee lock problem. My left leg cant bear my body weight. But your videos are boosting me to involve on this game again. Therefore i am after a footwork…. In which my left knee have to bear the minimum body weight and enjoy this beautiful game

  8. Just make sure not to rush into something! Otherwise your knee will cause you a setback with a injury.. ✌️💪

  9. Basically, Badminton is a knee-killer sport. Your legs and footwork play a crucial role in every shot. They bear your whole bodyweight (even worse with jump shots).

I had a knee cartilage surgery after years playing this sport. My experience is you should purchase a pair of shoe with good cushion. Get yourself a knee support brace. And more important, to prevent potential injuries, do the leg workout, focus on hamstring, quadriceps and calves. Those muscles help alot for your knees.

    Enjoy this amazing sport!

  10. Even if you have watched this video, you have to practice a thousand times, It will come itself

  11. Thanks to both, this Tutorial in backhand clear, is so simply and so clear 👍👍🏸🏸

  12. So many fellow Indians and their comments, had to double check to make sure I wasn’t watching a cricket tutorial 😆

  13. I would like to ask a important question here…should we follow through for more power..or stop the racket at impact for more power..?

  14. My question is should we follow through or stop when we hit the shuttle….which produces more power?

  15. Thanks for this awesome video on the backhand clear, very helpful! I was a professional athlete and now I’m making content too, would love it if you could take a look =)
