Hello everyone, I am currently looking for a new racket. I actually want to try both flagship model from Ashaway which is X-Fire and X-Speed but since the budget is only for one , it put me in dilemma. I did read Paul's review on both rackets, which really helpful but it's still not convince me to put a bet on either x-fire or x-speed. I come to seek for help here from user who have experience with Ashaway brand. This will be my 1st Ashaway racket. Your help is appreciated. Thanks in advance
Had the chance to try a Palladium model. Forgot which series but I definitely liked the feel of repulsion which i think is similar to Yonex's Sent from my SM-G9350 using Tapatalk
X Speed does have a good punch. @shreyas666 owns one and I have played a decent bit with it. IMO one of the best if not the best racket at the price if you don't consider used. X Speed is great for defense and flows remarkably well when going overhead (smash or clear) for a racket that costs half compared to a ZF2 4u in my area. If I didn't have my rackets and was limited to the price range it's at (6k in our country for example), it would be my top choice for doubles.
Seems like a good weapon..hehe. ZF2 is too demanding for my liking. I used my friend ZF2 and it is too tiring after several smash. But the good thing heavy racket is easier to clear baseline to baseline while light racket need more force. I'm not in a hurry to buy since I got many rackets in the bag but I need to make a "satisfaction buy" between xfire or xspeed.
Fire is more solid at back court. Racket swing speed is similar, difference is due to weight. It's noticable. Fire is chunkier
Buy both of them. TBH. You're going to have a buyer's regret of not buying the other racket. But still fire should come out ahead.
speed is faster, fire is stiffer and chunkier it has a very thick t-joint. thicker than speed. fire is more stable than speed, speed is more controlling than fire, power accessibility in speed is better than fire. fire is head heavier than speed.
Nope I mean the Superlight Phantom http://www.directbadminton.co.uk/sp...m-superlight-badminton-racket?ProductID=25177 Light, fast, head heavy, stiff and rated to 30lb.
